About our story

Making books and stories  is Miranda’s second career, having been a successful international fashion designer for many years,  she is now concentrating on her first love - illustration.

The Amazing Roboteam: Robot Parts and Naughty Sheep is the first in a series that will explore a range of educational, social and emotional issues in an accessible and engaging story format. These are current issues that parents or teachers may wish to explore with children between 6 and 8 years or with individual needs.

The 3 friends with disabilities, some gained through accidents, some born that way,  meet up with DigiDog. Heading to the city, they seek out Dr Ablemaker, robot scientist, cyber medic and all round lovely person, who builds them a robot eye, a drone wing and a bionic ear.

With Digidog's feelbot, that helps him detect and identify emotions with amazing accuracy, they become an unstoppable force for good.  Along with Mousey, who has learned the power of redemption through reconciliation and being truly sorry, they are making the world a better and more forgiving place.

A wonderful resource for 5-8 year olds, it encourages empathy, understanding and how to move through conflict. It places responsibility for unkindness on the perpetrator, emphasising the importance of remorse for social acceptance and reconciliation.  It encourages children to see the world from different perspectives, changing the narrative from underdog to hero, from different to equal.
